AP with WE

I have worked with the WE program for about three years now. It is very important and helps so many people. It helps organize people who want to help others and gives them an opportunity to make the world a better place! However, this is my first year with the AP with WE program. What I have learned about it is that it helps students develop leadership skills and creativity. Our class is currently working on helping build a hospital in Uganda. Unfortunately, I was unable to participate in the google hangouts with Issac and Rachel, but I have heard that it was a very informational and powerful lesson in empathy and learning more about our world. I am so excited to start working on ways to help them, such as fundraising with a bake sale to help them get medical supplies or put money towards the construction of another hospital. We are also focusing on a project to help our community and help give children with disabilities more independence. This is very important in my learning experience because it is the first time I have been able to see the impact of the WE projects upfront and not across the world.
